Next Tuesday, our classes will be travelling to the Marriott Center at BYU to practice the Hope of America program. This day will be a common day, so all students will need to be here at 8:00, and we will be leaving school at 9:15. The practice will take all morning, and those children who have chosen not to participate in the program will be seated with a teacher away from their classes for the entire morning rehearsal. After that, we will go to a nearby park to have lunch and relax for a while before coming back to school. All students are requested to have a lunch brought from home. Students are then asked to return to the Marriott Center before 6:15 for the evening performance. I will send out a handout with the students that has more information about where we will be sitting and where you will be able to meet us afterwards to pick up your child. Thanks!
We are working on our informational magazines in reading and writing, and have finished up our last science unit. We will be SAGE testing on Wednesday and Friday small group times. It is also our last week of vocabulary! The students are really happy about that one :)

Mrs. Ann ZItoThis is my fourth year as a fifth grade teacher at Westfield, and I love it! I have taught accelerated magnet classes for all my thirteen years as a teacher, and feel that I have had the best job a teacher could ask for. I have three children of my own, and my husband is a teacher too! In my free time, I like to knit, sew, read, cook, and travel with my family. Archives
