Last week was the last week of the first trimester, and grades are available to see on SKYWARD. We will not be sending home paper grade cards this year, so that is the place to see grades.
Our class has been having some trouble getting assignments completed this year, both homework and in-class work. To help motivate students to use their time more wisely, we will be joining the other fifth grade classes in the Fun Friday activities. Students who are all caught up on their work will get to participate in some fun activities (games, art, etc.), while those who have missing work will have study hall to get that work done.
As we start our new trimester, we have started on a big science/reading/writing activity, and we’d love for you to be involved. Our students are working in groups to plan earthquake safety plans for cities all over the world, and we need an audience for them to present their plans! They will begin presenting at 10:00 Friday, Dec. 14. All of you are invited!
At this time of thanksgiving, and counting blessings, I just wanted to thank all of you for your support. Our class is so lucky to have such wonderful parent volunteers in the classroom, and support at home. Thank you so much! Have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!
