I will be gone the next few days, so those of you who normally come to volunteer on Tuesday or Wednesday, we will plan on seeing you next week instead. Thanks!
We had our April character education assembly today, and Morgan was voted by our class as a great example of a friend. For those of you who haven’t yet heard, Morgan has been missing for several weeks as she gets adjusted to a new diabetes diagnosis, and for surgery to remove cataracts from both of her eyes. We are so glad to have her back in class, and the rest of the students have responded with overwhelming care and solicitude (vocab word this week!). We really do have a class full of sweet and thoughtful young adults!
We are planning on attending a performance of Newsies at Timberline next Thursday. We will leave soon after 9:30 and will return in time for a late lunch around 11:45.
Lastly, we have scheduled our end of year RISE testing. We will be testing with another class, so there will not likely be a lot of changing in this schedule. Mostly, we will be testing during track time, so if your student will need to miss their track time on a test day, please let me know and we can possibly arrange to have them attend the other track that day. We will test on these days – May 1, 2, 8, 9, 14, 15, and 16 during track time, as well as May 3 at 9:45.
Thanks so much! Don’t forget to mark your calendars for April 30 at 10 for our Patriotic Program, and May 7 for Hope of America! Have a great week!
