Our math test that was to be this week is going to be moved to next week so we can have a bit more time on the concepts of prime factorization, and using that to help find least common multiple (LCM) and greatest common factor (GCF).
I have heard from several parents that homework some nights has taken their student over an hour. Please limit their on task time to only an hour. The homework that I assign should not take over that amount of time. I know that students have other important activities, and I do not want homework to become a contentious time for your family. Please stop them after an hour, and jot a note in the planner that you had them stop and this is what they got done. I will work with them on figuring out if there were misunderstanding about the concept that they were struggling with, and/or plan out how to use their time to the best advantage to be able to get the work done. Thanks for your help in this!
We will have a spelling/vocabulary test on Friday, and the students will be finishing up with their personal narrative by Wednesday. Their essays will be turned in through Google Classroom, so they may finish up at home if necessary.
Our Wolf Walk is scheduled for next Friday, and picture day is Sept. 26. A note will be coming home with that information.
Have a wonderful week!
