This Thursday is our trip to BizTown. This is a COMMON DAY, so all students need to be at school at 8:00 and will leave at 2:15. They need to dress in business casual clothes, and most of them indicated that they would bring a lunch from home that day. Those of you that volunteered to help out at BizTown will get another email from me with the final details. Thanks!
We will be taking our end of unit math test on Wednesday, covering place value, powers of 10, rounding, adding and subtracting decimals, and multiplying and dividing decimals by whole numbers. We are working on writing sequence articles for our nonfiction magazines, learning about early American colonies, and reviewing weathering and erosion. Many of the students need to be working on finishing typing their Shackleton opinion essay at home, as we will not have any more time at school for typing those. Finally, students all have poems that they are working on memorizing, and they will have the date of their presentation when they come home today.
Next week is Fall Break, so we are off on Thursday, Friday and the following Monday. I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend!
