Our class did such a great job at the Wolf Walk last Friday! They won the trophy for the fastest fifth grade class. I was very proud to watch them each cross the finish line, as I could tell that they pushed themselves to do their best.
We begin our reading tutoring of Mrs. Denning’s third grade class tomorrow, and that will go until Thanksgiving break. (I can’t believe I’m referencing Thanksgiving already!!!) We begin our tutoring session at 9:20 Tuesday through Friday, so it is super important that our B track students are on time. Thanks for your help with this!
We are finishing up our first opinion essay this week, and have begun learning about the early colonies in the Americas. We are working on multiplying and dividing decimals by whole numbers, and will be looking at our first unit math test next week. The students finished their heredity unit last week, and will begin our next unit, Earth’s surface, this week.
A reminder that we are having the Book Fair this week! They have copies of the Battle of the Books books if you are interesting in picking up some of those. Also, here is the link to the Explorer websites the students have worked on: https://sites.google.com/alpinedistrict.org/mrszito/home
Have a fantastic week!
