We are hard at work in room 105! We had a good trip to the pool on Friday, and we learned a lot about our ROVs. The students are working hard on their posters for the competition next week. We do not have a firm time on when our teams will be competing, but the tentative schedule have us at 10:15 and 10:30. We will then have lunch and wait for the results, before returning to school by 2:00. I will let you know for sure when we have the finalized times.
We will be performing our play, “Constitution,” on Friday afternoon at 1:00 in the gym. Everyone is welcome! We are going pretty low key, and are not really doing costumes, unless the students have something specific they’d like to wear. If anyone has a black robe for our Supreme Court Justice, we’d love to borrow it! Other than that, the students will be wearing tri-corner hats, and maybe name tags. We are really focusing on the content instead of the costumes this year, since we are also working so hard on our ROV projects.
Other than these two big things, we are finishing up working with decimals this week as we work on dividing, and are reviewing opinion writing.
Thanks to all who sent in books for the book drive! Our class got second place, and will be getting a treat this week! I am sure that there are many students who will appreciate the books you were willing to share.
Have a great week, and we look forward to seeing many of you on Friday!
